Miami Heat

After becoming a free agent, He announced that he would join the Miami Heat for the 2010-11 season. His fans in Cleveland were unhappy, with many seeing his departure as a betrayal of his hometown.

James scored a jumper in the game’s final seconds to bring his total to 20,001 and lead the Heat to a 92-75 victory over the Warriors.

Success continued with the Heat until the end of the 2012-13 season: After winning the Eastern Conference title in a six-game series against the Indiana Pacers, Miami beat the San Antonio Spurs in seven games for its second straight title NBA championship.

The 2013-14 season concluded with Miami returning to the NBA Finals to face off against San Antonio again, losing to San Antonio in five games.

Returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers

In July 2014, after opting out of his contract with the Heat & considering other teams, James announced that he would return to the Cavaliers.

LeBron James missed 13 of 82 regular-season games in 2014-2015 due to back and knee problems. When healthy, however, he’s been as dominant as ever, averaging 25.3 points and 7.4 assists per game. James led the Cavaliers to the Finals and became the first player in nearly 50 years to reach the Finals in five consecutive seasons. However, injuries to star teammates Kevin Love & Kyrie Irving dashed his hopes of a third championship, and the Cavaliers lost to the GSW in six games.

The following year, James again paced himself & took charge when necessary, leading the Cavaliers through the Eastern Conference and to an incredible seventh straight NBA Finals. This time, with the addition of former MVP Kevin Durant, the Warriors proved too much for James and his teammates, who won the championship in five games.

Despite all his accomplishments, James recorded another first at the start of the 2017-18 NBA season: After yelling at the referee in a late November win over the Heat, he scored 1,082 career games.

During a frustrating campaign, the superstar may have often wanted to shout, as the offseason trade that sent Irving to Boston Celtics for Isaiah Thomas failed to come to fruition and forced the Cavaliers into the All-Star Game.

Two rounds after the Cavaliers, the scrappy Celtics pushed the game to the limit again, but James scored 81 points over the final two games to clinch the series and advance to his eighth straight NBA Finals.

Game 1 of the rematch against the Golden State Warriors went downhill thanks to James’ 51-point outburst. Still, Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith inexplicably dribbled with the game tied for a timeout, and the Warriors won in overtime. It was the Cavaliers’ best chance at a win, as the Warriors easily won their next three games for their third championship in four years.

Afterward, amidst doubts over his future with the team, James revealed that he finished the series with a right-hand injury after a boxing whiteboard after the loss in Game 1.

Los Angeles Lakers

On the 1st of July, 2018, LeBron James announced that he would sign a four-year, $153.3 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, starting a new chapter in his career.

The good vibes were gone by midseason when the Lakers played 17 games without an injured star.

With the team still striving in late February 2019, LeBron James blamed his teammates for losing focus on trade rumors, saying: “If you’re still letting distractions affect the way you play, join this team. is wrong, you should come in and say, ‘Listen, I can’t do this.'”
