Moses Brown College Career

 

Malcolm Brown and Wanda Williams welcomed Brown into the world in New York City. His father, Malcolm, was a junior college center who stood 6-foot-7 inches (2.01 m) tall. There was little uproar when Brown, a 6-foot-8-inch (2.03 m) freshman, enrolled at Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens.

Over Kentucky, Maryland, and Florida State, Brown choose UCLA. In the 2018–19 recruiting class, which also included Shareef O’Neal, the son of Hall of Famer O’Neal, he was a five-star prospect and the top newcomer for the Bruins.

On June 18, 2021, Brown, Al Horford, and a 2025 second-round selection were traded to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Kemba Walker, the 16th overall pick in the NBA Draft 2021, and a 2025 second-round pick. On July 31, 2021, Brown was exchanged for Josh Richardson and sent to the Dallas Mavericks. Although Dallas guaranteed his contract, the athlete did not progress in the way Dallas had intended.

 

The Cleveland Cavaliers declared on March 10, 2022, that they had signed Brown to a 10-day deal following Jarrett Allen’s injury. He re-signed with the Cavaliers on March 21 for another 10-day deal.

 

In July 2022, Brown signed a training camp contract with the Los Angeles Clippers that was later changed to a two-way deal with the Ontario Clippers.

 

Brown and the New York Knicks agreed to a two-way contract on March 8, 2023. After only appearing in one game for their G League club, the Westchester Knicks, he was released on March 12—four days later.

 

The Brooklyn Nets signed Brown to a 10-day contract on March 17, 2023. He was re-signed to a second 10-day contract on March 28.
