Duke grew up in Providence, Rhode Island, participating in track and field, football, and soccer. Basketball was his primary emphasis in high school. Duke and Jahvon Quinerly split the Big East Freshman of the Year award heading into their first season at Providence. Brooklyn Nets (2021–present)
Duke signed an agreement with the Brooklyn Nets on August 8, 2021, after going undrafted in the NBA draft 2021.
His agreement was changed to a two-way contract on October 16. He was required to split his time between the Nets and its NBA G League team, the Long Island Nets, under the rules of the contract.
