On November 15, 1960, Los Angeles Lakers forward Elgin Baylor became the first player to do something only 11 times in NBA history.
In the 123-108 win over the New York Knicks, Baylor made 28 of 48 shots and the Charity Stripe made 15 of 19 shots. He had a career-high 71 points and 25 rebounds. At the time, Baylor set an NBA scoring record, becoming the first player in league history to score more than 70 points in a game.
In 60 years, there have been only 10 times a player has scored 70 or more points, six of them by legendary center Wilt Chamberlain.
