Who has scored 100 points in the NBA history?
No player has ever scored 90 points in a game, but to mention Chamberlain’s 100-point record.
On March 2, 1962, Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points for the Philadelphia Warriors in a 169-147 victory over the New York Knicks, setting an NBA single-game scoring record. Not 98, not 102, but a decent 100 rounds an imposing record set by one of the most imposing players.
Chamberlain enjoyed New York’s bench, scoring 100 points on 36 of 63 shooting (57.1 percent) and 28 for 32 from the free throw line (87.5 percent), grabbing 25 rebounds and two assists. The Philadelphia Warriors won 169-147. The game was neither televised nor any full broadcast account remembered.
Whether it’s a lack of coverage or opponents, a 100-point game may never be reached again.
