The Oldest Players to Win the NBA Championship

Number 5. Juwan Howard

To start our list is Juwan Howard. He brought home a championship ring for the Miami Heat in 2011/12, his most recent appearance on the list.

Howard was 38 years old at the time, a small role. He’s only played in 28 games, and he’s averaged six minutes per game in all of his minutes this season. As a result, his average of 1 point and 1 rebound per game was significantly lower.

Howard may not have the best stats in the world, but a championship is a championship; it’s not a huge surprise to have talent like LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh around him.

Number 4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

If we were to list the oldest player to win an NBA championship each year, Abdul-Jabbar would actually be on the list in a row. We’ll only include him here once, though.

The NBA legend last won a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers at age 40 in the 1987/88 season, and unlike the rest of the roster, despite having wrapped up a stellar season, he’s not for the team. is a great wealth. Profession.

He played 80 games and played 29 minutes per game. He averaged 15 points, 6 rebounds and 1 block for the Lakers as they continued to bring the trophy home.

Number 3. James Edwards

James Edwards, 40, ended the grueling 1995-96 season with the last of his three championships. Like Howard, he played in just 28 games, and his impact did little to help win the title.

All season, he averaged 3.5 points and 1.4 rebounds. Edwards enjoyed a skilled reputation throughout his NBA career as he represented nine different teams, but, from the Washington graduate, few expected him to play in the NBA when he was drafted by Los Angeles. Finished 19 seasons with the Lakers in the third round of the 1977 draft let alone winning three championships.

Number 2. Kevin Willis

Willis won his only NBA title with the San Antonio Spurs in the 2002/03 season at the age of 40. The 7-foot-0 center also made a very solid contribution to the team. He played in 71 different games, playing about 12 minutes per game. In other stats, Willis averaged 4.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Notably, Willis went on to play for a few more seasons after becoming the second player to win an NBA championship. He eventually retired in 2007, becoming the second-oldest player in NBA history.

Number 1. Robert Parish

Robert Parish tops our list of the oldest players to win an NBA championship. When he got a taste of success, he was 43 years old. Parish was honored during the 1996/97 NBA season as a member of the famous Chicago Bulls, a team that also starred Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman, all top defensive players, It is also a real threat.

Parish himself didn’t post any surprising stats, averaging about nine minutes per game. However, he did post some solid numbers, namely his 3.7 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. For these reasons, he fully deserves the title.
