Max Allegri’s honesty about Juventus prospects will only hurt him in the long run
Max Allegri is his own man and you have to give him this. However, he may have paid for it. After Monday night’s draw with Sampdoria, the Juventus coach got straight to the point in his own somewhat counterintuitive way.
“We’ve started better than last season (they have just one point in their opening two games instead of four this season) and we kept two clean sheets [yes, even though the opponents in those two games xG were] 1.98] ” he said as if speaking only to the all-round result brigade.
So far, Max. When asked about the club’s many absentees (Paul Pogba, Angel Di Maria, Federico Chiesa, and Leo Bonucci have all been injured) and some of Juve’s talented youngsters (Fabio Miretti, 19, Nicolo Rovella, 20, and even Moise Kean, 22) can make up for that.
