Who is the greatest Serie A player of all time?

Serie A is one of the most legendary leagues in world football. If you think about some of the most famous clubs in the world, you will think of names like Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Roma.

The people on this list have left an indelible mark on the beautiful history of Italy. Some are prolific scorers, while others are exhausted defenders or the most creative midfielders.

Paolo Maldini

On June 26, 1968, the first Serie A player Paulo Maldini was born. He has never worn a jersey of a club outside of Milan, and has maintained the longest record in football history in AC Milan for 25 years.
Paul joined AC Milan at the age of ten. Before joining Milan, he was a Juventus fan.
On January 20, 1985, he made his debut in the second half against Udinese, replacing the injured Sergio Battini. He played only one game in the 1984-85 season.

On May 31, 2009, Maldini played against Fiorentina in the last official match in Milan. In the 2-0 victory over AC Milan, Maldini was replaced in the 90th minute. There was thunderous applause in the field, a well-deserved world champion. In the same year, he won a special award for UEFA’s lifetime achievement.
Paulo Maldini played for the Italian national team from 1988 to 2002, and served as the captain of the national team from 1994 to 2002, maintaining the national team’s record of 126 appearances.

After being eliminated from the 2002 World Cup in Italy after losing to South Korea, he resigned from the national team. Although the official of the national football team requested to return, he never changed his mind.

Alessandro Del Piero

Entered the Roman football school at the age of 7, made his debut in March 1993 and scored his first goal in a friendly match against Valencia.
In 1995, at the age of 19, he became a regular player, scoring 4 goals in 20 games that season.

He personally believes that the help of coach Carlo Mazzoni has had a great impact on his football progress. In 1999 he scored 30 goals in Serie A and won the league’s best young player and player of the year awards that season.

Roberto Baggio

His talent was discovered early by Naples scouts and joined the club. Fabio’s first club game was against Juventus in Naples on March 7, 1993. Although he played well for the team, he joined Parma after two years in Naples due to the serious financial needs of club officials.
