Who has won the most Serie A titles?

Juventus has held the championship title for a long time. Strong teams that have been also crowned champions for many years are AC Milan and Inter Milan.

• Juventus (36 titles)

have won 36 Serie A titles to this date starting from 1905 and with their latest Serie A title won in 2019-20 season. They have also finished runners-up in the Italian top-tier competitions 21 times and again more than any other Italian club to this date.

• Inter Milan (19 titles)

Inter is one of the most traditional rich football teams in Serie A. They have won 30 domestic titles, on par with the great rival AC Milan. Among them are 18 Scudetto, 7 Italian Coppa and 5 Italian Super Cup.

They also finished runners-up 15 times in Serie A competitions. None of their records actually surpass those of Juventus, but still they are in front of other top Italian clubs although by a narrow margin and currently occupy the second position on the list of Italian clubs with most Serie A titles won.

• AC Milan (18 titles)

AC Milan have also one record of consecutive Serie A titles win to their names, They won four Serie A titles from 1991 to 1995. They also have runner-up 15 times in Serie A competitions in their history.

In recent years, Milan have not been able to compete for titles and often finish in the middle of the table. In 2016, Milan was acquired by a Chinese company. Investments are poured in continuously, but the Rossoneri’s performance has not improved.
