King James signed a two-year, $97.1M extension in L.A
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a two-year deal worth $97.1 million.
The deal includes a 15% transaction fee and a player option for the 24-25 season.
James was supposed to enter the final contract season with the Lakers for $44.5 million.
With the extension, James overtook Kevin Durant with a guaranteed $532 million to become the highest-paid player in the history of the NBA.
In the 2023 offseason, no team will likely have James interested in free agency. James is not eligible to be traded until after the 22-23 season.
