NBA Brooklyn Nets vs. Washington Wizards

Brooklyn got off to a slow start to the season, losing five of its first six games. The Nets got back to the.500 mark on Nov. 28, when they beat Orlando in Game 2 of the current frenzy. They have won seven of their past eight games, with their only loss coming against the NBA’s hottest team (Boston) last Sunday.

Brooklyn bounced back from a 103-92 loss with consecutive wins over Charlotte, Atlanta, and Indiana. The Nets are heading into Game 2 of a four-game road trip, with games in Toronto and Detroit this weekend.

Washington is off to a solid start to the season, winning 10 of its first 17 games. Since then, the Wizards have been unable to overcome their poor form, leading to a miserable period since late November. They have lost nine of their past ten games, with their only win coming on Nov. 28 against Minnesota. Washington has lost six games since then, but none have been by more than 11 points. The Wizards beat the Clippers 114-107 on Saturday when Los Angeles made a tie-breaking 3-pointer with 23.8 seconds left.

Brooklyn has to be the pick for this game, as the Nets have shown they can still get things done without their star. They were without their top 7 scorers last Saturday but still found a way to victory, picking up their seventh win in 8 games. Washington hasn’t been able to figure anything out, lost six straight, and made up the difference once in that skid.
