This year the Reds become one of the offensive teams, but it will be interesting to see how they respond, as Nick Castellanos hits the injured list with a wrist injury and he has been the heart and soul of this batting lineup this year.
Reds has a lot of player who can do the job of batting, however, as this is a very deep batting lineup with the likes of Jesse Winker, Jonathan India and even Joey Votto who has good in this position.
The Cincinnati Reds has a great rotation this year, and Luis Castillo will look to provide this team with another quality start and this guy has big time upside, but he has struggled with consistency, so if the good version of Castillo shows up that will make things very tough on the Cardinals here on Saturday.
It is hard not to wonder just how good this Cardinals team could be if they could just get their offense going, as their pitching staff has been lights-out so far this year, but they just have not been able to give their starters the run support necessary to really be a contender.
They do have plenty of excellent bats in this lineup though, and it would not be all that surprising to see them make a run at the Milwaukee Brewers atop the division at some point this year.
Woodford will be the starting pitcher in this spot and although it is over a small sample size he does have nice numbers against the Reds over the course of his career only allowing the Reds to hit .250 against him.
The St. Louis Cardinals will look to gain position in the NL Central and do everything to win this match.
