Miami selected the 22-year-old American 13th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft.

The heat reached the NBA Finals in his debut season, falling to the Los Angeles Lakers in the championship game of 2020. However, Boston defeated them in a seven-game Eastern Conference Finals series this year and was ousted from the playoffs in the first round of 2021.

Herro earned the NBA top reserve award last season after starting 56 of his 66 games and had a 20.7 point, 5.0 rebound, and 4.0 assist average in 32.6 minutes of action.

Throughout his three league seasons, Herro has averaged 16.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, increasing his scoring average each time.
