Jordan Clarkson a candidate for the Phoenix Suns?
The Phoenix Suns are expected to continue changing their roster after a mixed offseason; they’re anticipated to make one or two trades in the upcoming weeks. Most people anticipate that the Suns will trade for Jae Crowder. However, certain rumors are circulating that claim Phoenix may not stop there.
According to a recent rumor, the Suns would be interested in getting Jordan Clarkson from the Utah Jazz.
Would the Phoenix Suns be a good fit for Jordan Clarkson?
Clarkson would make sense for the Suns on the surface, especially if they want to gradually relieve Chris Paul’s workload (and minutes) this season. Clarkson won’t be able to bear the load that Devin Booker or Chris Paul are anticipated to carry for the Suns this year, but he might be a vital spot player.
After playing as a reserve for the Utah Jazz, Clarkson averaged 16 points and four rebounds while shooting 42 percent from the floor. He should be able to accomplish the same with the Suns. If so, he would be a far better value than any other backcourt bench player the franchise presently has on the roster.
The Suns are now lacking this essential component. Even though Cameron Payne and Landry Shamet are excellent players, Clarkson is a different kind of athlete.
Without a doubt, the Suns would be a better club if they could find a way to get him. However, there isn’t anything significant to report—at least not yet. Only a degree of interest is something to watch out for.
