Nina Weiss, her life and marriage

Nina Weiss is the lovely wife of the number one goalkeeper on Germany’s national team and one of the greatest goalkeepers in the world, Manuel Neuer; who is, by the way, the goalkeeper for Bayern Munich.

Born on March 27, 1986, in Gelsenkirchen-Germany, Manuel launched his career with Schalke 04 in 1991, where he stayed until 2011. Nevertheless, Manuel Neuer’s wife was born in 1993, so that makes Nina Weiss age 27.

His goal to play on the professional level for the club he loves eventually came true on August 19, 2006, versus Aachen; because his rival Frank Rost was suffering from an injury.

Because of the differences between Rost and the club’s coach, Mirko Slomka, Rost left Schalke 04, and Manuel Neuer became the new first goalkeeper. Neuer then signed a 5-year deal with Bayern Munich.

Neither the Schalke fans nor fans of Bayern were able to understand this move because their teams are great rivals. He got transferred to Bayern Munich for the 2011-12 season for $25 million.

Nina loves being a trained dressage rider and has two horses she rides in the contests. Recently, Nina Weiss competed in the U-25 German Grand Prix where she ended up at the seventh spot.

The goalkeeper reportedly went to see how his wax likeness was coming along when he met Nina Weiss who, according to the gossip pages in Germany, was working at the museum at that point.

After the ceremonies in Austria, the wedding reception then moved to the charming Monopoli in Southern Italy. It’s a coastal city, between Bari and Lecce, which is home to the Cathedral of Maria Santissima Della Madia.

Manuel and his parents are all Catholics, although Nina’s faith is not known. For the reception, Neuer was sadly still on crutches because of the metatarsal fracture that made him miss almost a year of football – although that didn’t get him down which a magnificent picture of him clicking his heels together shows.

The football player went on a 63km bike ride around Ibiza with his friend throughout the vacation. Afterward, the two were seen at Oktoberfest in Munich. Of course, Manuel, wore lederhosen, while Nina wore a dirndl dress.
