Mike Brown says EuroBasket is the best possible preparation for NBA players
Mike Brown looks in on several EuroBasket games in Cologne, Germany. Sacramento Kings coach saw the competition to watch Kings’ star Domas Sabonis.
Before Cologne, he sits it on in the Ukrainian center to support King’s Group A games in Milan.
“Brown said it is better to get ready for an NBA season than to play and practice at the level that these guys in the Euro Basket.
“You know you are always concerned about injury, and that’s a problem of all of ours,” Brown also noted. “These guys are eager about playing for their country that it is hard not to keep up with them. You want them to do what they’re passionate about because that’s what life is about.”
The Kings have great expectations ahead of 2022-23 after hiring Mike Brown as the head coach earlier this summer. Sabonis and Len will have an essential role for Brown as the Kings will try to end Sacramento’s 16-year playoff drought.
Both Len and Sabonis will likely be in the tournament’s knockout phase in the future, as Day 3 is concluding today with an important game for Ukraine, who are facing the hosts of EuroBasket Group C, Italy.
